Full description This project, to understand the behavioural interactions and biogeochemical functionality of microbes in the ocean, will address key questions in microbial ecology at the biologically relevant microscale using a novel combination of environmentally deployed microfluidic devices and single cell and population level omic approaches. We anticipate that this new approach, microfluidomics, will be generalisable to many environments and will be a major new tool in the "omics" arsenal. http://ecogenomic.org/microbial-behaviour-microfluidomics
