Bacterial groups identified from the sequences were: Gammaproteobacteria, SRB, Planctomycetales, Alphaproteobacteria, Archaea, Betaproteobacteria, Actinobacteria and Firmicutes, Cytophaga /Flavobacteria of Bacteroidetes (CFB), Verrucomicrobia.This study was the first to examine eukaryotic recruitment, potentially overlooked in visual surveys, using molecular techniques.
