This point dataset contains the major airport hangar facilities in Australia.

Statement: The National Major Airport Hangar points were digitized in 2012 from the library of imagery held within Geoscience Australia. Imagery used ranged from 0.15m resolution aerial photos to 2.5m resolution satellite images. This dataset was developed in October 2012. Source Information: Primary information sources used to identify and attribute the National Major Airport Hangar dataset came from existing Geoscience Australia (GA) spatial data and the following publicly available publications/websites: - En Route Supplement Australia (ERSA), - Individual Airport Master Plans Where required these primary information sources were supplemented with online, publicly available information from individual airports, local council websites or interest groups.
