Long-period magnetotelluric time series data that measure natural magnetic and electric field variations at Earth’s surface were collected at various locations throughout Maralinga and the Far West Coast region of South Australia. This time series dataset was collected as a part of the national Australian Lithospheric Architecture Magnetotelluric Project (AusLAMP), a decade-long national MT survey jointly coordinated between government and research organisations through the collaboration of AuScope, Geoscience Australia (GA), state and territory geoscience agencies, universities and other research organisations. The AusLAMP project in South Australia was a collaboration between Geological Survey of South Australia (GSSA), the University of Adelaide, Geoscience Australia and AuScope. This dataset represents the packed raw time series archive for Maralinga and the Far West Coast, South Australia. Python was used for the generation of the packed raw time series products, which consist of a zip file of the raw instrument data per site (e.g. station_a.zip, station_b.zip,...). The Australian Lithospheric Architecture Magnetotelluric Project (AusLAMP) project in South Australia was a collaboration between Geological Survey of South Australia (GSSA), the University of Adelaide, Geoscience Australia, AuScope and the National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS) (https://www.ga.gov.au/about/projects/resources/auslamp).The raw survey data was collected as part of the 'AusLAMP: Illuminating the Deep Earth project' and 'The South Australian Government PACE Initiative' and used AuScope-funded instruments. The survey was supported by the Department of State Development (DSD) - Government of South Australia and the Commonwealth of Australia represented by Geoscience Australia.

The Geophysics 2030 project received co-investment from AuScope and the Australian Research Data Commons (ARDC) to support the data curation at the National Computational Infrastructure (NCI Australia) (https://doi.org/10.47486/XN002). AuScope, the ARDC and NCI Australia are enabled by the National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS).
The contributions of Dr Bruce Goleby (OPM Consulting Pty Ltd.) and Dr Stephan Thiel (Geological Survey of South Australia) were invaluable in supporting the data curation at NCI Australia led by Hannes Hollmann.
