This dataset comprises Level 2 magnetotelluric (MT) data products derived from raw broadband time-series data acquired during the Kalkaroo MT survey conducted within the Curnamona Province, South Australia, during 2020 and 2021. The dataset contains frequency-domain MT transfer functions and response estimates generated following quality control and robust MT processing of the corresponding time-series archive. Transfer functions are provided in EDI format and represent interpretation-ready datasets suitable for geophysical interpretation, three-dimensional inversion, and regional-scale analysis of crustal and upper-lithospheric electrical structure. These products support high-resolution investigation of electrical resistivity structure associated with the Kalkaroo Cu-Au deposit and broader analysis of the surrounding Curnamona Province.Credit

This dataset comprises Level 2 magnetotelluric (MT) data products derived from the raw time-series collection associated with the Kalkaroo MT survey (parent collection DOI). Raw time-series data were subjected to quality-control procedures to identify and remove contaminated, noisy, or otherwise unsuitable data segments prior to frequency-domain processing. Magnetotelluric transfer functions and response estimates were generated from the raw time-series data using processing workflows appropriate to the acquisition system employed. Data acquired using Phoenix MTU-8A and MTU-5C instruments were processed using EMpower software (v1.54.2.3), while data acquired using LEMI-423 systems were processed using LEMI MT v1.4.6 software. Resulting transfer functions were subsequently integrated within a common survey dataset to facilitate comparative analysis and interpretation across the survey area. The resulting transfer functions are provided in EDI format and represent interpretation-ready MT data products suitable for subsequent inversion, interpretation, and regional-scale analysis of crustal and upper-lithospheric electrical structure. Processing parameters, workflow descriptions, software versions, and processing assumptions are documented in the accompanying README file. This dataset constitutes the authoritative Level 2 archive of processed MT transfer functions derived from the Kalkaroo MT survey and is directly traceable to the corresponding raw time-series collection.Created: 21 07 2026
