This collection contains the South Australian component of that survey. Field acquisition was undertaken in two phases. An initial deployment in early August 2017 comprised 47 broadband MT sites and a continuously recording remote-reference station located in South Australia. A follow-up deployment in late August 2017 comprised an additional 10 broadband MT sites located in western New South Wales. Field acquisition employed LEMI-423 broadband magnetotelluric systems hosted by the University of Adelaide and accessed through the AuScope - ANSIR Research Facility for Earth Sounding. The instrumentation was acquired through a combination of Geological Survey of South Australia and AuScope NCRIS funding. Continued availability of the instrumentation pool is supported through ongoing NCRIS investment via AuScope, including maintenance, calibration, refurbishment, and operational management activities. AuScope is supported by the Australian Government’s National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS). Data acquisition in South Australia was funded by the Geological Survey of South Australia, while acquisition in New South Wales was supported by the ASEG Research Foundation. Logistical support for field operations was provided by Havilah Resources, and access to remote deployment locations in South Australia was facilitated by helicopter services provided by Helifarm. Broadband magnetotelluric (MT) data were acquired in August 2017 across the Curnamona Province in South Australia to investigate crustal and upper-lithospheric electrical conductivity structure associated with regional tectonic architecture, fluid pathways, and mineral systems.
