Statement: The Macreadie Seagrass bathymetry survey was acquired by Deakin University onboard the Motor Vessel Yolla over two days in 2015 (09/12/2015-10/12/2015) using a Kongsberg EM2040c.
The data were processed in CARIS HIPS&SIPS 8.1 and 9.1 and using the following processing procedures performed.
1. Import into CARIS
2. Post-process POS MV data in POSPAC 8.6
3. Apply SBETS to data in CARIS
4. Georeferenced bathymetry and computed TPU
5. Generated a CUBE surface and filted by the CUBE surface
6. Manually removed any erroneous soundings that were not
eliminated using CUBE (e.g., dense sounding clouds around sonar
head due to bubbles).
Notes
PurposeTo derive seabed information for the purpose of supporting the sustainable use of our marine environment and jurisdiction; strengthening our resilience to natural hazards and enabling location-based decisions and actions through best practice digital mapping, Earth observations and precise positioning.
