Statement: The Liquid fuel terminals (points) dataset was revised and released as a dataset and a web service in August 2020. The liquid fuel terminals dataset (points only) was released as a subset of the Liquid Fuels Facilities web service in February 2016. The database was released on Geoscience Australia’s website in March 2015. The liquid fuel terminals were digitized in 2012 from orthophotos and satellite imagery held within Geoscience Australia. Imagery used ranged from 0.15m to 2.5m resolution.

The purpose of the Liquid fuel terminals is to support decision makers from industry, governments and other interested parties make better, and more informed decisions based on evidence based information.
