The Liquid Fuel Refineries Database presents the spatial locations; in point and polygon format, all known liquid fuel refineries within Australia.

Statement: The Liquid fuel refineries (points) dataset was revised in August 2020. Version 1.1 of the Liquid Fuel Refineries Database (points only) was released on Geoscience Australia’s website in July 2016. Version 1 of the database was released on Geoscience Australia’s website in February 2015. The liquid fuel refineries were digitized in 2012 from the library of imagery held within Geoscience Australia. Imagery used ranged from 0.15m to 0.5m resolution.

The purpose of the Liquid Fuel Refineries Database is to support decision makers from industry, governments and other interested parties make better, and more informed decisions based on evidence based information.
