The refinery name, suburb, owner and capacity were obtained from this report. Due to the large size of the features, they were easily identified from imagery. Publicly available information from owner/operator websites was used to confirm the locations and complete the attribution of the features. Polygons representing the extent of the entire facility were digitized to create a Liquid Fuel Refinery Areas feature class. The point feature class was derived from the polygons by using FME to generate a single point within each of the refinery polygons. This dataset contains the spatial locations of Liquid Fuel Refineries in Australia.
