Lipase-powered asymmetric silica nanoparticles for enhanced mucus penetration

Full description Mucus penetrating nanomotors have great potential for enhancing oral drug delivery efficiency by overcoming the mucus barrier. Herein, we synthesize novel lipase-propelled silica nanomotors for enhanced mucus penetration and reveal the impact of asymmetricity in structure and lipase distribution on the movement velocity and penetration efficiency.
