Full description
Data supporting the findings of Lewis et al. (2026) "Catch me if you can: Assessing sampling techniques for threatened floodplain wetland fish" published in Aquatic Conservation: Marine and Freshwater Ecosystems. This dataset includes fish species detection data from eDNA metabarcoding, fyke netting and seine netting across 34 floodplain wetlands in the Kiewa, Ovens and Central Murray catchments of northeastern Victoria, Australia, along with associated water quality and wetland habitat attribute data. Sampling was conducted during October–November 2024.
