The shared data has two parts: 1. BOATS simulation outputs. While we have received permission to use the two MPA scenarios in the study, we cannot share any outputs that make it possible to extract the MPA scenarios. Thus, we only share the outputs that did not include MPAs (Simulations 3,4,9,10 in Supp. Table 1). Please contact the respective authors of Waldron et al. (2020) (10.13140/RG.2.2.19950.64327) and Sala et al. (2021) (https://doi.org/10.1038/s41586-021-03371-z) to obtain the MPA scenarios. 2. Transition matrices. We provide the starting locations for the particles tracking simulations (in folder "other"), as well as the as processed outcomes from the Analysis/Movement/RScripts/ProbabilityMatrix/StartCompile25Y.pbs script in https://github.com/sandra-neubert/LarvalExportGlobal (csv files in "raw" folder). We also provide the prepared MATLAB file resulting from the csv files used in BOATS simulations ("forBOATS" folder). To include it in a BOATS simulation, simply place this file into Analysis\BOATS\sneubert-boats_v1 of the GitHub repository.Issued: 2025
