The system (SERCEL SN368) is a telemetry system and was completely new to all personnel in the seismic section. Following a short course on the system and the installation of the equipment in vehicles a short test survey was conducted at Millmerran in Queensland during May and June 1986. The objective of this survey was to test the equipment, determine modes of operation, allow personnel to become familiar with the system, recommend changes to anciliary equipment if necessary and to acquire sufficient data for testing the BMR Disco SEG-D processing routines.
