This data set contains 30 transcripts of the interviews undertaken with first-year students as part of this qualitative research (utilising reflexive thematic analysis). The interviews were semi-structured in nature and explored student experiences of co-regulated learning and self-regulated learning in student-initiated online chat groups. The interviews ranged in length from approximately 30 to 60 minutes. Transcripts are verbatim records of the interviews and are provided as individual Microsoft Word documents. Student names are pseudonyms.
