This is a clinical research study. We study the importance of protein complexes called inflammasomes in the pathogenesis of gut diseases. We intend to collect biopsy samples from colonoscopy when IBD patients undergo colonoscopy procedure. The biopsy samples collected would then be processed and analysed in the laboratory at the School of Human Life Sciences
