Inducing muscle adaptations with resistance training

Research Project

Full description This project investigates the structural and neuromechanical adaptations in hamstring muscles resulting from high-load muscle stretching exercises. Employing advanced techniques such as microendoscopy, 3D ultrasound, and high-density electromyography (HD-EMG), the research aims to elucidate myogenic and neural responses to exercise-induced strain. By analysing these adaptations, the project seeks to enhance our understanding of how muscle structure and function respond to high-load stretching. The findings will inform exercise prescriptions for injury prevention and rehabilitation, benefiting diverse populations.
