These are hand written indexes, listed alphabetically by first letter of prisoner’s surname and then in chronological order. The series shows the name of defendant, ship of arrival, place and date of trial, and registration number of case.

The indexes cover Quarter Sessions held at Sydney, Campbelltown, Berrima, Windsor and Parramatta from 1839, Wollongong from 1861 and Eden from 167. From 1870 volumes appear to cover all Quarter Sessions held at both metropolitan and country courts.
