Between August 2014 and May 2015, 125 long-period magnetotelluric (MT) data will be collected across the Gawler Craton and the south-eastern part of South Australia at intervals of 50 km. Results will be compared to existing 3D models highlighting enhanced conductivity in the sub-lithospheric mantle of the Gawler Craton. Initial results of 1D depth transformations show a significant change in resistivity at mantle lithosphere depths (100 km). The results will also be tied to the newly acquired Eucla MT line and a new 1000 km NS MT profile extending north from the central Gawler Craton into the Arunta Province, NT.This record was harvested by RDA at 2024-02-14T09:51:51.483+11:00 from NCI's Data Catalogue where it was last modified at 2019-07-15 14:01:09.NA&rft.creator=Graham Heinson &rft.creator=Data Collections Team, NCI Australia &rft.date=2019&rft.edition=v1&rft.coverage=northlimit=-28.95; southlimit=-38.04; westlimit=132.43; eastLimit=141.1&rft.coverage=northlimit=-28.95; southlimit=-38.04; westlimit=132.43; eastLimit=141.1&rft_rights= https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/&rft_rights=Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International&rft_subject=geoscientificInformation&rft_subject=magnetotellurics, electrical resistivity, impedance, long period, SA, AusLAMP&rft.type=dataset&rft.language=English Access the data
