How do marsupials maintain physiological homeostasis under natural conditions and climate change?

Research Project

Full description Taking a systematic literature approach, we explore how the major marsupial groups (koalas, wombats, macropods, numbats, quolls, Tasmanian devils, bandicoots, marsupial mole, and gliders/possums) living in Australia maintain physiological homeostasis (i..e., primarily maintaining body temperature and water balance) under natural and climate change scenarios. We also extract data from the literature, taking a comparative physiological approach, to highlight the differences in how the different groups maintain homeostasis.
