The SPATIAL Project has utilised The Visible Human female data set, Courtesy of the U.S. National Library of Medicine, to reconstruct cross-sectional planes of an elderly female human body.

The Head provide access to digital cadaveric cross-sections which reflect radiologic collimation. File types include jpeg, pdf, video and DICOM files. Placing DICOM files in PACS software provides opportunity for real-time cadaveric multi-planar interactive exploration of a human body and opens the door to virtual reality (VR) applications. A Scout of the whole body alongside the regions of the Neck, Chest, Abdomen, Hip and Lower Limb are also available.
