Some areas of scientific or economic interest have been infilled with station spacings between 2 km and 4 km by recent Commonwealth, State and Territory Government initiatives. Other areas of detailed coverage have been surveyed by private companies for exploration purposes. The data quality varies depending on the survey. The data are processed via standard methods to ensure the response recorded in the data is that due only to the rocks in the ground. The results produce datasets that can be interpreted to reveal the geological structure of the sub-surface.
