Normal quality control has not been applied to this dataset. Dissolved Oxygen: Many stations did not have oxygen bottle data. Some did not have oxygen sensor data. The available bottle data was used as one group (stations 3 -45) and the resulting calibrations gave a standard deviation after fitting of 14.01. This is not a good fit but considered reasonable as there were only 49 bottle samples. Full description

This dataset contains ONLY RAW Conductivity-Temperature-Depth (CTD) data files. These data were collected on Franklin voyage FR 04/2000. No hydrology data samples were taken during this voyage and hence the data cannot be calibrated. This dataset has NOT been processed and the raw files are only available on request.

Statement: This dataset originates from a standard CTD unit operated in a "tow-yo" mode, moving through the water column in a zig-zag manner as it is towed by the research vessel. The data has been processed in a less rigorous manner than a standard (fixed station) CTD dataset due to absence of relevant bottle sample data. For full details, refer to documentation
