Full description

This dataset was collected by Justina Wong at Curtin University in 2017, under the supervision of Simon Lewis. Red-shaded and nude-shaded lipsticks were analysed using visible spectroscopy (in diffuse reflectance and absorbance mode) and infrared spectroscopy. Chemometric analysis was then carried out to investigate variations in shade or chemical composition, which could be used to discriminate or identify individual lipsticks for forensic purposes.

Chemometric analysis was carried out using Unscrambler X v10.5.
