This volume appears to be a procedure manual used within the British legal system. The first half of the volume relates to fines and the second half relates to recoveries. It appears to date from 1739 until at least 1776.

It is annotated "James Praed Junr."

It appears this volume was brought to the Colony of New South Wales from England, possibly by the Judge Advocate or another legal official.
