Farrar School for the Deaf was established in 1946. The Schools was located at Ashfield between 1946 and 1963. In 1964 the school was re-located at Croydon Park. The School was identified as a specific purpose school in May, 1952 and closed on 19 December 2000. (1) Note: 'Government Schools of NSW...' records the opening date as May 1952.
