This dataset comprises the current meter data collected from a transect across the East Australian Current off Evans Head, northern NSW during August 1989-March 1990, as part of a study of ocean transport in the Tasman Sea. There are 8 moorings with 16 current meters represented in this dataset. Parameters typically recorded in current meter data comprise east-west and north-south velocity components, water temperature, pressure, and salinity at a nominal depth for each current meter. The data have been processed and are archived as part of the holdings of the CMR Data Centre in Hobart.
