The Ernest William Titterton Guide to Records documents and contextualises the records of Ernest William Titterton, a nuclear physicist, who appointed Foundation Professor of Nuclear Physics in the Research School of Physical Sciences at the Australian National University. The Guide documents records that cover much of Titterton's career as a nuclear physicist, including his correspondence, publications, his work at the Australian National University (ANU), and his work on a number of committees and authorities relating to radiation and nuclear safety both in Australia and overseas. The guide describes 1,667 inventory items (mostly paper files). The total collection occupies 1,658 linear cm of shelf space (or its equivalent). The Guide is the output of a research database. It was first published online by Australian Science Archives Project in 1996, and a later online edition was produced by the Australian Science and Technology Heritage Centre in April 2004. Work on the collection by the Australian Science Archives Project began in 1990. The records were later transferred to the Adolph Basser Library at the Australian Academy of Science (MS168). The collection was listed by Rosanne Clayton, Anne-Marie Condé and Yimei Mo.Data time period: 1990
