This dataset is the result of analysis of historical documentary records, including -The first European explorers' logbooks -Governors' correspondence -Early settlers' diaries -Early newspapers -The works of 18th and 19th century scholars Scientists, Historians and Volunteers work together to collate and analyse documentary records and early weather data. Volunteers work from The National Library of Australia, The State Library of Victoria, The State Library of New South Wales, and from their own homes.
