Data from rapid light curves recorded in situ for Ecklonia radiata, Phyllospora comosa and Macrocystis pyrifera at different times of day, depths, thallus placements, latitudinal regions and seasons. Data exists for three sites in Western Australia (Ecklonia radiata), three sites in Tasmania (Ecklonia radiata, Phyllospora comosa and Macrocystis pyrifera) and one site in NSW (Ecklonia radiata and Phyllospora comosa).
