Full description
The research will investigate lesser-researched attacks in smart grid: false data injection, and time synchronization attacks. The impact of these attacks on phasor measurement units will be explored. Then, the mitigation of these attacks will be explicitly investigated by designing robust authentication protocols using physically unclonable functions. Finally, a set of evaluation metrics will be proposed for the developed authentication protocols.
