Full description

David is a PhD student in physical oceanography at the Climate Change Research Centre (CCRC), University of New South Wales (UNSW). David’s research is focused on the dynamics of coastal ocean processes around Antarctica. In particular, he is studying the mechanisms for which wind-generated coastal waves can lead to the transport of warm Circumpolar Deep Water onto the Antarctic continental shelf, which is important for understanding future Antarctic ice melt and global sea level rise.
