Brief description
DNA sequence data alignments, partitioning information and resulting phylogenetic trees for study of evolutionary relationships of the groundsel tribe (Senecioneae) of the daisy family (Asteraceae).Lineage: Most sequence data were obtained from Genbank. Additional ETS psbA-trnH, and trnL-trnF sequences were produced for 32 previously unexamined native Australian species using Sanger sequencing. Alignments were produced using MAFFT 7.310 under automatic algorithm selection and subsequently examined, manually corrected and cropped in AliView 1.22. Phylogenetic trees were inferred using IQ-TREE 1.4.4 under automatic partition finding using sequence regions as starting partitions, automatic model selection for each partition, and with 1,000 UltraFast Bootstrap samples as branch support.
