Full description

These retrospective data consider International Classification of Diseases-10 coded adverse outcomes in patients (2016-2018) (n=2,121) following transfusion (allogeneic blood transfusion and intraoperative cell salvage) during surgery. The association between numbers of immune cells and ratios before surgery and adverse outcomes after surgery are studied. Confounding factors and patient comorbidities are considered. To enable robust statistical analysis comorbidities and adverse outcomes were grouped.
