The parameters measured include the eastern and northern tidal components, water speed and direction, temperature, salinity and sigma-T. Approx deployment dates - see individual records for exact date and time of collection: 1) 5/4/89 - 4/6/89... 2) 23/6/89 - 28/8/89... 3) 30/8/89 - 13/11/89... 4) 14/11/89 - 29/1/90... 5) 31/1/90 - 28/3/90 TIDE GAUGE: The tide gauge was secured to the mooring line on the sea-bed at a depth of ~35m during the first deployment. Curiously, additional tidal data was gathered from this approximate location (see record for exact coordinates) after the final deployment, between 28/3/90 and 12/7/90. The height of the tidal gauge was also raised to 10m for this additional deployment. In both datasets the tide gauge recorded temperature as well as depth. This is one of four child records that relate to the parent, 5f4333e0-2ae5-11dd-a735-00188b4c0af8. Brief description

A current meter mooring was installed at the entrance of Jervis Bay, just off Bowen Island. This mooring housed 2 current meters, at 12m and 30m. Purpose
Previous experiments revealed low frequency water movements in the bay that were wind forced. This was an unexpected result that led to an emphasis on looking at alternative mechanisms of driving circulation. This experiment was designed to monitor the exchange of water between the bay and the shelf.
