Compared to the hourly averaged datasets, these allow water movements to be studied over a shorter time scale. The parameters measured include the eastern and northern tidal components, water speed and direction, temperature, salinity and sigma-T. The S4 InterOcean S4 current meters were set to integrate the signals over 1 min where the sampling interval was 15 mins (deployment 2,3,4 and 5) and for 2 minutes where the sampling interval was 10 mins (deployment 1). These sampling cycles were decimated using a running mean to 60 minute intervals. Although details of the 2nd deployment of the Point Perpendicular mooring are provided in the 1hr averaged dataset, the 15min sample record of this deployment is unfortunately not available. Brief description

A current meter mooring was installed at the entrance of Jervis Bay, off Point Perpendicular. This mooring housed 2 current meters, at 12m and 34m. Purpose
Previous experiments revealed low frequency water movements in the bay that were wind forced. This was an unexpected result that led to an emphasis on looking at alternative mechanisms of driving circulation. This experiment was designed to monitor the exchange of water between the bay and the shelf.
