Brief description
The record contains leaf traits information measured on Eucalyptus tereticornis trees from the EucFACE site in Cumberland Plain in 2012. Data on tree height, leaf dry mass per unit leaf area (LMA), stomatal conductance to water vapour (gs), light saturated leaf net CO2assimilation rates (Asat) and maximum net CO2 exchange rate at light- and CO2-saturation (Amax) are provided.Lineage
Leaf photosynthesis measurements: Measurements of light-saturated leaf photosynthesis and associated leaf traits were made in the morning hours at the top of the plant, designed to reflect physiological capacity for net CO2 uptake by leaves. These measurements were made on the dominant species of the grassy Eucalyptus woodland that comprises EucFACE.The measurements are made using the Li-COR model 6400XT portable photosynthesis system, standard 6 cm2 leaf chamber with red and blue LED light source. Measurements made with the following settings: flow 500 µmol s-1, light at 1800 µmol m-2 s-1, and measurement [CO2] of current ambient (390 µmol mol-1 for Asat; 1800 µmol mol -1 for Amax).
