Full description

This dataset contains alphanumeric characters, Greek characters and mathematical symbols . All symbols in this dataset are extracted from "CROHME: Competition on Recognition of Online Handwritten Mathematical Expressions dataset"

For representing symbols as images following processes have been done:

  • Conversion  from INKML to PNG
  • Margin removal
  • Resizing based on Aspect Ratio
  • Categorization:
    • Short 64x48
    • Square 64x64
    • Tall 48x64
    • Slim 16x48

In addition, for non-alphanumeric symbols synthetic symbols were generated by distortion.
