The series of registered correspondence files relate to the management of the Royal Botanic Gardens and other parks in New South Wales including the Domain and Centennial Park.

These files deal with a range of matters including the development of improvement and maintenance of facilities; acquisition of land; design and location of monuments; arrangements for Commonwealth Jubilee celebrations and visits by important dignitaries; amendment of By-laws; seed exchange programs both in Australia and overseas; and improvements to the existing National Herbarium.
