This series consists of files produced by the Valuer-General’s Department with the file number prefix 'M&S' for municipal and shire councils or the prefix 'M' for municipality. The files in this series contain correspondence with local governments and papers in relation to the valuation of land in particular Shires, Municipalities or Counties and recommendations made by the Valuer-General as to the estimates or valuations given.
