Data were collected by determining the Nmax from underwater video, with a light attractant. Further, biophysical modelling was carried out to explore the role of C. sivickisi medusae behaviour in restricting their distribution to shallow reefs (2016 medusae season), to ascertain the internal structure of the Magnetic Island population (2017 medusae season) and to determine if the island population represented a stock that was isolated from any mainland populations (2017 medusae season). Data on the distribution of the cubozoan jellyfish Copula sivickisi were collected from different reefs/bays at Magnetic Island during the 2017 medusae season.
