Through the course of this study, she designed a downselection framework for FLW management options, which culminated in a case study that investigated citrus processing waste. This citrus diagram was created to demonstrate the physical structure of citrus fruits and the components that may undergo bioprocessing (e.g. fermentation, anaerobic digestion, incineration with energy recovery) to retrieve valuable products (e.g. essential oil, energy, biogas).
