This series consists of reports relating to a joint feasibility study on the conversion of Australian brown coals and bituminous coals to liquid motor fuels. The study was financed jointly by the Federal Ministry of Research and Technology (BMFT) of the Federal Republic of Germany and Australian Department of National Development and Energy, and was prepared by Inhausen-Chenie GMBM (the "Inhausen Report").

The report contains information such as: process descriptions; basic data for plants design; partial environmental statement; studies of Coal areas - populations, site conditions, transport systems; time schedule for building of a power plant; labour requirements; financial assessment and sensitivity evaluation.
