This dataset includes the X-ray absorption near-edge structure spectroscopy (XANES) for the soil organic carbon and sulfur of samples collected from the Brigalow Catchment Study. It also includes the physicochemical properties of bulk soil and isolated soil fractions. Each spectrum presented was generated by merging spectra from three independent replicate samples after baseline correction and normalisation using ATHENA.
