Full description

Field data collected under the GBR Foundation CCIP Project D-04: The COTS Surveillance System (CSS): end-to-end technology for detection of reef pests using the ReefScan-Deep towed imaging platform. Data consists of geo-referenced images from a towed imaging platform from around the perimeter of sets of reefs along the GBR looking for images of COTS and Scars.

Most images were collected by AIMS staff going on COT Control trips with the Control Teams for a range of field trips. Images are used to train ML models of COTS, Scars and Benthic life forms.
