Full description There are significant gaps between research knowledge and what occurs in practice. Knowledge translation (KT) is a broad approach to reducing these gaps. It includes the synthesis, dissemination, exchange, and implementation of research. These approaches can result in impacts that benefit society. Academics, researchers, and clinicians need to learn how to use these approaches and communicate research impact to funders, and society. Limited research evaluating initiatives to build capacity for these approaches exist. This project aimed to evaluate new strategies being introduced in a Health and Rehabilitation Sciences School in an Australian University to help staff and higher degree research students develop these skills. One strategy was the development of the Knowledge and Impact Planner (KTIPs) comprising the KTIPs Instructional Guide and accompanying KTIPS Planning Template.
