AGSO's main contributions have been in the fields of structural geology, economic geology, particularly Cu and Au mineralisation and alteration studies, geochronology, and magnetic geophysics. Much of the primary data for these and other studies is presented for other workers. Brief description

An integrated package comprising geological, structural, geophysical, geochronological and geochemical data. The GIS encompasses the outcropping and covered portions of Palaeoproterozoic and Mesoproterozoic rocks straddling the NSW-SA border (the Broken Hill, Euriowie, Olary, Mount Painter and Mount Babbage Inliers). The GIS features recent data collected by the Broken Hill Exploration Initiative.

Statement: AGSO has worked towards understanding of the geology and geological history of the Curnamona Province in recent years with its involvement in the Broken Hill Exploration Initiative. AGSO's main contributions have been in the fields of structural geology, economic geology, particularly Cu and Au mineralisation and alteration studies, geochronology, and magnetic geophysics.
