Daily observations were divided into three separate periods: 8am to 11am, 11am to 2pm and 2pm to 5pm and allocated 'baseline' or 'air gun' according to whether or not air guns were active during that time. Baseline and air gun samples were spread evenly across season and day. Observations include number of singers, number of males and females and number of joining interactions. Joining interactions were summarised to produce a payoff per time period for singers and non-singing males. Dataset includes control periods.
