This dataset contains the preliminary information for a biological baseline survey of the port region of Port Hedland, Western Australia, carried out in February 1998 by CSIRO Marine Research Centre for Research on Introduced Marine Pests (CRIMP). Minimal sampling was undertaken on this occasion, the main purpose being preparation for a full port survey in May 1998. This dataset forms part of a series of Port Surveys conducted by CRIMP over the period 1996 to present.
