Brief description

This website enables students, researchers and the public to search or browse the TEI XML and PDF format documents Australian Federation Fulltext Database. The Australian Federation Full Text Database provides access to a collection of digitised versions of the key texts that record the making of the Australian Commonwealth, including historical documents such as the National Debates, the Debates of the Federal Conventions and People’s Conferences. Documents are available in TEI XML and PDF format, and are fully indexed and full-text searchable. The digitisation of the core collection was funded by the Centenary of Federation in 2001. The digital reproduction of the works of Robert Garran was undertaken with the kind permission of Mrs Win Garran, Deakin, ACT.
